With all the rumours about the world ending, even though it was proven tt they werent real, and even though you know it wouldnt really happen, but what if it really did? What have you not done tt you'd regret not doing, and what're the things tt've happened which you're thankful for?
Since the year's coming t an end, why not think about the things you have not dont yet wouldnt wanna regret not doing, and let them be our new year's resolution? And for the things tt you're thankful for, keep them in mind and always be appreciative. When things get a lil more difficult, when feeling a lil down, think about those things tt've happened and im sure they'll give us strength t overcome the obstacles. For those unpleasant stuff, learn from them and let them pass when the year comes t an end. Let bygones be bygones right? After all, its gonna be a brand new year, a brand new start.

My new year resolution:
- stop procrastinating (get the momentum t study and chiong again, and i think i shld start driving again before i forget how t)
- study hard and clear all my modules (must graduate this yr!)
- travel t new places instead of going back t the same few again and again (yea i know im gonna go back t tw, and im pretty sure i'll go back t bkk again, so im not quite sure how it'll work out =/ )
- lose abit more weight (or rather exercise more and tone myself, i think my mum will prob kill me if she ever sees this)
- save more $$! (have been spending quite abit on travelling this yr, but i think its worth it la)
- get a job?
- get a car? (i hope? but i know there are alot of other priorities)
- 一切看开一点
- not get affected over every lil thing so easily ):
- not get affected over every lil thing so easily ):
- be happy and make people arnd me happy as well
- bake more?
- be more independent
I think tt's prob all for now, tt's all i can think of at the moment. Haha. But actually every new year's resolution is probably about the same bah?
I think time really passes damn fast, esp after you've turned 21. 2012, 说长不长,说短不短. Looking back, some of the things tt've happened felt as if they've happened a long time ago. Yet, some of them felt like it only happened ytd. 2012 has been a year full of ups and downs. And its cos of the downs, tt we'll grow up and become stronger than we once were. And its the ups tt'll encourage us and keep us going i guess? So after all its not really sucha bad thing i guess? Trying t make myself feel more positive. Lol

Okay, enough of all the thoughts on this year. I wanna share a few of my favourites tt i've found / visited / tried during the year! (:
Im having a hard time choosing cos after thinking about the places i've visited, the list seems t get longer and longer cos theres so many nice places! I may be picky about food but im actually quite easily satisfied so there're hardly any tt i really dislike. Im not gonna elaborate too much on each place though, cos all of them are pretty much worth visiting more than once! And if i do, it'll prob be a super duper long post, so im just gonna recommend the must tries (IMO) / the more popular items.

(places are ranked randomly, not by preference or anything cos i like all of them! hehe)
1. Wimbly Lu (i think they have the best waffles ever!)
These're my favourties from wimbly lu. I've tried their blackout cake and hot chocolate, but despite being a chocolate lover, i find them abit too 'gao' for my liking.
Waffles tt's t die for! So fluffy yet crispy, tastes good even w/o icecream!
Rootbeer float cake (served w vanilla icecream)

Tiramisu

2. The Fabulous Baker Boy
Tuna melts, $11 (i dont usually eat tuna unless its maguro sashimi, but this is really good! we ordered it during both visits. bf loves it w tabasco!)
Chicken & leek potpie, $14 (really crispy & theres alot of chicken chunks!)
70 River Valley Road
#01-15 The Foothills
Tel: 6694 8336
3. Omakase Burger
![]() |
I'm sure it has alrd became the most talked about burger place recently! (Pic taken from website)
What we ordered (if you like lemonade, do try their homemade ones!)
Omakase Cheeseburger + sweet potato fries + lemonade ($13.90+$5.90+$1+$0.60)
Bacon Cheeseburger + french fries + soft drink ($15.90+$5.90). Wanted t try their truffles fries but they were out of truffle! ):
I have t say tt this is the best burger i've ever tried. The cheese is really melted tgt w the patty and its like you're eating them as a whole instead of tasting the cheese and patty separately. I dont usually like cheese so usually is i see burgers tt just place one slice of piece on top of the patty which is almost still 'raw', i'll just tear off as much as i could. But i have no problem eating this at all cos it's cooked so perfectly!
Price wise may be a bit on the higher end for me though, cos the burger alone doesnt comes w fries and drinks so you'll have t top up for them, and the serving of the burger is actually slightly smaller as compared t the ones outside. BUT, this is definitely worth every cent paid! Yes, it's tt good.

4. Group Therapy
49 Duxton Road
Singapore 089513

5. Plain Vanilla
Im sure Plain Vanilla doesnt need any further intro either, cos it's alrd so popular!
My all time fav is the salted caramel one! And bf loves the milk choc banana!
I personally prefer this more than twelve cupcakes, though i know they're a lot twelve cupcakes fans out there. But PV has gotta be my favourite! I think they more worth the price even though its slightly more expensive than twelve cupcakes ($3.50 each), and i find them more flavourful in terms of both the cupcake itself and the frosting.

6. Carpenter and cook
Passionfruit meringue tart & chocolate tart
Revisited cos the lemon tarts were sold out during our first visit!
This place has became one of my fav hangouts after class on sat. I think everything they sells wouldnt go wrong cos they're all so nice! Haha. But it gets pretty crowded on weekends, so if you wanna eat in you'll prob have t wait quite awhile for seats. There's nth much t do around tt area so its actually quite difficult t kill time, so i'd suggest taking away if you dont wanna wait. (:

Okay, i think i shld stop here before i continue going on and on and the post will prob never end. Haha. Just realised most of them are actually dessert places. =/ Cant help it, im a sucker for desserts, so i tend t try out more dessert places. Hehe
I hope i've kinda helped if you're thinking of going somewhere new instead of always going back t the same few places, yet dunno where t go. Since i've only listed 6, it shld be quite easy t decide on which t visit right? (:
