Revived x 2nd anniversary ♥

Havent been back to this space for almost half a yr cos i was lazy. =/ But decided t start blogging again cos bf, mum and some of my friends have been encouraging me t (mainly t share about food). 

Idk how long this 'revival' will last, and idk if anyone even reads this space of mine, but i'll try my best t blog consistently. And i think i have alot of things tt i can blog about, (backdated though) like my holiday trips and stuff. But on a second thought, maybe not, cos there're wayyyy too many pics. Haha

1. T help improve on my language (tt's what my mum says but i dont think it'll help much cos im always typing in short forms, too used t it alrd la)

2. T share about my food experiences (i know there're alot of food bloggers out there alrd, and i dont expect t be like them, just sharing what i've ate (: )

3. For memory sake, so that i can always come back t this space of mine and look back on the past

Since it's a 'revival' post, i shall blog about sth happy!

We've booked tix t tw next july during jetstar's take a friend for free promo! This'll be our 2nd trip t tw, but our first trip there tgt (: 

Only paid a total of $476 for 2. Super cheap right! 

Hopefully we'll be able t see sunrise on the plane! Woke up t beautiful sunrise on the plane during the previous trip and its a really rare experience! And this time rnd we're going for 15 days. Mwahaha. This is like the first time i'll be away from home for so long, and we plan t visit a few places, which explains the 15 days trip. 

The only downside is tt it'll be damn hot during july, both trips t tw also in july. How i wish it'll be cooling! Gonna start planning bit by bit so tt i dont have t cramp everything in june like the other time, and since exams will be in may i wldnt have time t plan during tt period either. ): Moreover, this time round it's even longer than the previous one, means more planning t do! =/

So... Bout a wk ago, baby and i just celebrated our 2nd yr tgt! ♥

Really glad tt he had off on tt day! So qiao right! Or maybe he requested for off on tt day but he didnt tell me. Lol. But sadly, i had sch till 3pm tt day.

Got this from a reseller, who happened t be my cous's friend. What're the chances? Lol. Was contemplating if i shld get it cos im afraid tt the size wldnt fit and i havent gotten anything from LB for quite some time alrd. Was so thankful tt i decided t get this cos its so comfy and not too casual, and most importantly, it doesnt show my tummy fats! Hehehe :D

Bf came over t pick me up aft my class, and guess what! 

Surprise #1: He prepared flowers! (: 

We agreed t keep it simple this time since we've alrd bought our anniversary gift in adv cos our previous watches were undergoing wear and tear alrd. I really didnt expect any gifts at all this time, which is why the flowers really surprised me! He always feels sad cos i can always expect what he's gonna do or give me during special occasions/birthdays (i tend t have pretty good sixth sense, or maybe i just have good observation skills and tend t think alot lol). So, this time he finally 成功了! Hehehe

I once asked him why he didnt give me flowers before and he said cos flowers will die, and when they do means love also dies. I honestly didnt uds what he was trying t say cos it doesnt make sense at all. Lol. When i saw the flowers, the first qns i ask was so when they die means your love for me also die leh then how? And he said he'll replenish them. For a moment i thought he meant the flowers, but he actually meant love. Haha =/ Aww how sweet ♥

He then drove over t dempsey, and there we are, at PS cafe! Have been wanting t check this place out for the longest time, cos i'm always seeing pics of their truffle fries on instagram/burpple/blogs.

We were there for a late lunch/early dinner so the place was pretty empty as most of the customers came for high tea. 

I really liked how quiet and peaceful this place is. Perfect for weekend brunch or high tea! I've always had a soft spot for cafes/restaurant which are simply designed yet looks so modern and cosy. We chose t sit indoors cos im mosquitoes' best friend ): 

 We ordered their truffle fries (as expected). How t miss out this dish since its so highly raved by everyone! Haha. 

We were really shocked by the huuuuge serving when it was being served t us. This plate of fries was wayyyy too big for 2! We ended up tabao-ing 1/3 of it home for dinner, but it was a pretty bad idea as the fries turn pretty soggy and heaty it up didnt make it better either ):

But nonetheless, it really lived up t the hype. I love shoestring fries as compared t straight cut ones cos they're not too 'potato-ey' and super addictive! The truffle taste wasnt too overpowering, it was quite balance and tasted really pleasant. And the parmesan cheese shavings blended in pretty well. $15 (if i didnt rmb wrongly) for this plate of fries is definitely worth it, great for sharing!

 I ordered the beer battered fish & chips. Didnt really touch the chips cos it was too 'potato-ey' for me and i'd rather eat the truffle fries. Didnt touch the vege as well cos they looked raw. =/

Usually fish & chips would come in thick batter, but the ones at PS cafe are an exception. The batter was quite thin and cripsy, and it really feels like you're eating fish instead of flour. The fish was really soft and satisfying, dipped in tartar sauce: awesomeeee!

Bf ordered the PS harding club sandwich. Im usually not a fan of sandwiches cos im quite picky when it comes t food (esp vege), and sandwiches usually have tomatoes & cucumbers, which i dont eat. 

In order t let me try, he removed the tomatoes so tt i would eat. :D And im really glad i tried! Would really regret if i didnt. 

All the ingredients in the sandwiched tasted so well tgt, like there was only one ingredient used. And the bread used was really soft. I've nvr liked sandwiches tt use bread like ciabatta cos they are too hard imo, which makes it difficult t cut/bite. 

Oh oh! And this picture got featured on instagram by igsg and foodpornasia! Was so happy when i saw that! Guess the colours added some substance t the pic. Hehe

Lastly, we had the blackout cake for desserts! Also another highly raved item from PS cafe. Desserts are my fav part of the meal, and there's always room for desserts! (:

This too, came in a big serving. Lol. But its definitely better than the one we had at wimbly lu (will prob blog about it some other time). This was more moist and rich, as compared t wimbly lu's which was a lil dry and too much chocolate for the frosting. 

The only thing i didnt like about PS cafe was their iced water. They put cucumber and carrot in it i think? Tasted kinda weird t me but bf thinks its refreshing. Lol

After our lunch cum dinner, we walked arnd dempsey t explore since its baby's first time there. We took a few polaroids and then headed t orchard central t get him his present. It was kinda last min cos i really didnt expect presents =/ I did think of getting the kobe bryant shirt (he's a die-hard kobe bryant fan) that he wanted from nike but didnt really had time t head down ): 

He was so happy when nike in SG finally started selling kobe bryant shirts, cos previously he could only get in ovs from like tw/hk. And probably half his wardrobe is kobe bryant's shirts. Lol. 

This is his 3rd kobe bryant shirt from me, another one t his collection!

After which, we headed home t cont watching our korean drama (were watching heartstrings but have alrd completed it). Hehe. Like i said, its supposed t be simple. And what else can be better than each other's company right? (:

Surprise #2: 

He got me a necklace! I really believed him when he said he didnt buy anything else, just the flowers. Hence, for the second time, he succeeded again! Lol

This is the 3rd necklace he's given me, and its his 3rd kobe bryant shirt from me. Great minds think alike yea? Too much of a coincidence. Hahaha

Tt's pretty much about how we spent our 2nd anniversary tgt. Shall end it off w some pics.
