Probably not the best month and week, ever since the beginning of june. Sigh. Sometimes i wonder if its due t the monthly affair or what ): But i've done quite a number of things for the past few days.
Finally met up w clique ♥ on sunday for dinner. Havent met them tgt for a really long time due t exams, and oh my i really missed them!
Wanted t bring them t Menya Musashi but there was too small a range t choose from. I've tried the white kakuni ramen previously and it was good!
The meat is thick yet tender and not tough at all. Have yet t try out the black kakuni cos bf doesnt like garlic. Heard that the queue can get a lil long during peak hours but i went quite early (arnd 5?) on a wkend and we didnt have t queue so my advice is, go early t avoid the queue! Im sure this applies t all restaurants, esp those w high traffic. Haha.
We settled for sarah's all time fav Keisuke in the end. You can customise your ramen, for eg. the noodle texture, oil level, etc. For those who are health conscious you can go for lighter soup and less or no oil! I like mine w less oil, cos i think my stomach's kinda sensitive t oil ):
All of them ordered the Watarikani ramen (crab stock ramen) but since i've tried it before, i decided t try something else and ordered the tonkotsu chashu ramen instead, since i remembered paul saying that it was good the last time we went.

And i think i kinda like the chashu ramen as opposed t the crab stock ramen. The crab stock one has thicker noodles and the stock a lil too thick for my liking. But i have t say that it's pretty special t use crab stock instead of the usual miso or tonkotsu or shoyu, so give it a try if you're heading there, who knows you might like it more than i do (:
Oh and Keisuke has free flow of bean sprouts! Its really yummy and addictive! We finished like almost half the container while waiting for our ramen t be served.
I kinda cherish moments like these now, meeting up and catching up w one another. Soon we'll be on different paths, dom would be flying off t aussie for his degree end of the month, alas and i will be stuck in sch while the rest of them are probably gonna start working after the release of our results. I wonder if we'll still meetup as often since we're all on a different track by then.
Guess i'll cherish such moments even more when we all get busy again. Better cherish my holidays well now before school starts. =/

I finally went back t baking again, finally had the time t do so. Tried cookies and cream cupcakes this time round! But perhaps not one of the best out of all recipes i've tried ): I think i still prefer choc based cupcakes cos it'll have more flavour than vanilla ones.
Recipe adapted from: http://www.beantownbaker.com/2010/04/oreo-cupcakes-third-time-is-charm.html
I think i've gotta fully utilise my hols and try t cover as much places in my "to go" list as possible, and bake as much of the recipes i wanna try out, cos my lists are like getting longer and longer, i have no idea if i can even cover all of them.
And i think i seriously needa get a job t fund all my expenses for all the food discoveries. Since no one wanna hire me due t my ovs plans, i guess i gotta try and find an ad-hoc job or sth. ):

I've finally got the chance t try out antoinette's cake!
It was not bad, quite a unique combination of earl grey tea and choc. Plus im a sucker for praline bases when it comes t cakes.
But i find it a tad too sweet though, maybe cos of the choc coating. And i dont like the berry thingy on top, which is like an egg yolk, when you poke it with your fork the berry sauce flows out. I'd still prefer dark choc compared t milk choc, everytime w/o fail.
My friend once told me that im getting old thats why im starting t prefer things that are less sweet. Oh well, lets just say i started t be more conscious on my diet. Haha.

We went for Carnivore's one-for-one that day as well and i have t say that i wasnt really impressed. The variety was quite limited and not really fantastic. Unless you have a huge appetite and great love for meat then it'd probably be the place for you. But if i were t pay the full price, i think i'd rather go for international buffets where i'd get a wider range of food.

Less than 2 more wks t 1/3: HK!
Cant wait t spend time w the boy and paulpaul! Havent seen him for quite awhile too. Busy boy w school even though its just yr 1 of poly. Has time changed or were we too slack back then? Lol.
After doing a lil research i realised we didnt visit quite a number of popular 'must go' places the last time i went w dom, sarah and carmen. So this time i must visit them! I want my dimsum, egg tarts and beard papa! HK has a range of flavours of cream puffs at beard papa unlike SG's! If only they could bring the flavours over...
